Dr. Levent Bakışgan was born in Germany in 1973 and completed his primary, secondary, high school, and university education in Istanbul. After graduating from Kabataş Boys’ High School, he enrolled in Istanbul Faculty of Medicine in 1991, graduating in 1997. He then completed his General Surgery residency, becoming a certified General Surgery Specialist in 2003.
Throughout my career, I have gained extensive experience working in university hospitals, state hospitals, and private hospitals. In addition to performing a wide range of surgical procedures in my field, I have developed a particular interest in bariatric surgery in recent years due to the increasing prevalence of obesity. My areas of expertise include sleeve gastrectomy, gastric balloon, and gastric botox procedures.
I currently practice at my own clinic in Osmanbey, Istanbul. My clinic collaborates as a partner with Gastric Sleeve Turkey Clinic and works with various A-plus private hospitals. This allows me to perform surgeries and endoscopic procedures at no additional cost for patients with private health insurance. I also provide free consultations for insured patients at my clinic.
